For a few decades, my Uncle Steve worked for a printing company in downtown Los Angeles responsible for printing the Los Angeles Times and USA Today. He repaired the presses, cleared jams, changed parts and made sure the massive operation kept running.

First Day County fishing experience was hook, sinker and no line

On a recent Sunday afternoon, I picked up a bag of minnows and headed to Enemy Swim Lake to try fishing for the first time in many years. The weather was beautiful, the water was warm and I figured the fish were probably just waiting for me to arrive.
