Purple Heart designation

Day County will be designated as a Purple Heart County April 23, 11:30 a.m. in the Day County Courthouse Community Room. Eight of nine Day County recipients of the Purple Heart Medal are residing in the county. RSVP to the Day County Veteran Service Office, (605) 345-9512 by April 15.

Kumla dinner

Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center kumla dinner will be served April 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Roslyn School.

Webster cleanup

Webster’s citywide clean­up runs April 29-May 2 weather permitting with residential pick up. Residents should have items on the curb Monday morning. See ad in this issue for more information on items suitable for pickup.

5K run/walk

Webster-Dewangen 5K Run/Walk is May 4, 10 a.m. at the Webster Armory with 9 a.m. check in time. Registrations will be taken until race day. Proceeds go to the Webster/German Exchange Program.

Annual meeting

Cemetery meeting

Ebenezer Cemetery meeting is April 28, 3:30 p.m. at Pereboom’s Cafe. Anyone with a family member interred in Ebenezer Cemetery should attend the meeting.

Webster Seniors meet

Webster Seniors will play cards April 29 following potluck dinner at noon at the golf clubhouse.

Fish fry

Team Macie fish fry is April 26, 5-7 p.m. at the Isaac Walton building, Webster. The fundraiser is in support of Juvenile Huntington’s Disease.
