Mark and Paula Bearmen moved to the Webster area from North Dakota and only intended to stay a little while but decades later, they’ve put down their roots. They’re pictured here on the deck at their home that overlooks Waubay Lake north of Webster with their dogs, Dotti, Ricki, Annie and Sandy. The Webster Area boys got out to a slow start against Britton-Hecla as the Cats hosted the Braves on the hard court Jan. 11. The Cats only managed three points, a two point roll in by Jhett Prins and free throw by Matthew Block at the end of one while the Braves knocked in 20.
